STRATEGIC HRBP (Global Customer Group)

Based: Flexible – could be based from UK Gloucestershire, Nr Amsterdam or Stuttgart

Our client is recognised for their engineering excellence across the globe; a network of talented experts who bring passion, persistence and innovation to every project.  Their footprint spans over 25 countries worldwide; servicing their customers through a local presence, supported by a multi-national virtual team.

Encouraging their cohort of engineers to build strong direct relationships with their customers, fosters teamwork and collaboration, and working in-house and becoming members of their project teams ensures challenges are fully understood.  Adopting a true systems engineering approach encourages new energy, ideas and innovation to uncover the best solutions.

Culturally, colleagues are encouraged to bring their whole self to work - personal lives are respected, each and every voice is heard, and a consistent engagement strategy drives high employee satisfaction.  Their core belief that people will be more creative, committed and productive in an environment where they feel trusted, respected and rewarded is evident across their employee lifecycle and experience.

As Strategic HRBP to the Group Vice President of the Global Products business (based in the Netherlands), you will perform an integral role in helping to shape and execute the commercial plan, through creating and embedding an aligned people strategy.  This is a highly profitable division with an employee group operating across 15+ countries and will require you to travel on average every six weeks (short haul), with an expected long haul trip twice per year.

Reporting to the GVP of HR (based in the UK) and supported by the centre of HR Operations and Specialist centres of expertise (UK & US), this is a stand-alone strategic partnering role immersed within the Products senior management team.  Priorities will include; organisational development, evolving talent management processes to drive better mobility and robust succession planning, and steering the employee engagement programme.

We are looking for a Strategic Senior HRBP/Divisional Head of HR with experience of partnering an international customer group, and a track record of driving success within a multi-national and multi-cultural organisation.  This is not a unionised environment, therefore we are not seeking a strong employee or industrial relations specialist from a hard unionised manufacturing/engineering environment.  Hopefully the above description will have given you a good insight to our client organisation and culture – the successful candidate will ideally demonstrate experience within a forward thinking, high-tech engineering environment or similar.  Most certainly, demonstrating a strength in building relationships and influencing change within a matrix organisation employing a highly intelligent cohort of specialists.  The GVP of Products is looking for an active contributor to their senior management team – bringing a strong commercial acumen and curiosity, an ability to challenge thinking, and inspire both individual and team success.

The successful candidate could be based in the UK (Gloucestershire), Netherlands (Nr Amsterdam), or Germany (Stuttgart).  Fluency in verbal and written English is essential, and the ability to speak German or another language would be beneficial.

Vana HR Resourcing will conduct first interviews in Amsterdam and the UK in early to mid January (dates to be confirmed).  Candidates successful to shortlist stage will be interviewed by our client w/c 29th January 2018.
