Our client is a European market leader with an online brand that is synonymous with sport. We’ve been retained to find a strategic HR Business Partner to join the team, partnering their Senior Stakeholders to develop and deliver their people strategy across the employee lifecycle (c.500 FTE). This role is supported by localised HR Operations and Talent Acquisition peers, and specialist colleagues within centres of expertise operating within the Group Plc organisation, with a reporting line to the HRD.
With a high degree of autonomy and freedom to operate, the successful incumbent will be a seasoned generalist who enjoys a combination of strategic partnering and operational activities, balancing the needs of the business with the broader Group strategy effectively. Building strong stakeholder relationships will be critical to influence organisational change and development as they continue on a journey of transformation. This role will also incorporate ‘location lead’ responsibilities.
Following M&A, improving the foundations across HR activities will be an immediate focus, and key priorities will include; embedding a consistent approach to talent management and development, increasing management and leadership capability through blended development solutions. Working in collaboration with local and group HR colleagues and improving communication and engagement will realign HR as a valued commercial partner and centralised service, driving both high engagement and performance.
If you’re an experienced generalist with a track record of success working within an international company, or exposure to international operations through a group matrix organisation, and are fluent in both German and English language - we’d like to learn more. You’ll be a HRBP with a natural coaching style who enjoys working with an ambitious and demanding colleague group across high-tech, creative, customer service, and corporate functions. Whilst we have an open view on your sector background, your career will most certainly have been spent in a highly commercial business that moves at pace.
